Welcome!

The Center for Hispanic Marketing Communication at Florida State University was founded by Dr. Felipe Korzenny in 2004. The Center’s affiliation, academic courses, and programs are part of the FSU School of Communication (Visit http://www.comm.cci.fsu.edu/ for more information).

The Center is the first of its kind in the United States devoted to educating students as well as professionals in the field. Faculty and students working with the Center are conducting ground-breaking research and serving as an innovative resource for the Hispanic marketing industry.

The dynamic growth of the U.S. Hispanic market leaves the industry in constant need for trained professionals. Most advertising, public relations agencies, and marketing organizations encounter difficulties filling their Hispanic marketing positions. Recognizing the immediate need for professionals trained in Hispanic Marketing Communication, the Center’s goals focus on:

  • Educate students to serve the Hispanic marketing industry,
  • Train professionals who currently serve the Hispanic public in the U.S.,
  • Conduct relevant research to further the understanding of the Hispanic market, and
  • Serve as a source of knowledge about the Hispanic Market for industry professionals.
