Students Find Hispanic Insights in Popular Latin Music

Students from Florida State University's Center for Hispanic Marketing Communication presented at the Texas State University State of the Spanish Media Conference on February 20. Their presentation covered "Hispanic Cultural Themes & Marketing Insights from Recent Popular Latin Music". These graduate students from the FSU Integrated Marketing Communication Master's Program (Natalie Kates, Celeste Eberhardt, and Antonieta Reyes) attended the conference to present their findings. Texas State University Music Professor, Juanita Ulloa, and Theresa Jenkins from The Recording Academy (Texas Chapter) also joined this Conference panel. Mrs. Jenkins provided information about trends in Latin music as it pertains to the GRAMMY Awards and how the number of entries for different genres have grown or fallen in the past 10 years.
